Abstract:
This case illustrates the trend of increasing participation in women workforce and the issues associated with working women such as career progression and glass ceiling. Using a true story about a working woman with unwavering efforts to climb up to the top management of a health and beauty chain store, management techniques and concepts are illustrated in making the chain store a quality-driven organization. The case serves as a basis for discussion only and it is not intended to evaluate the extent of the organisation’s effectiveness or the manager’s personal achievement.
